“Solo for Two Voices“ translates the creative energy of verse into the poetry of dance.
The duet “Solo for Two Voices“ is based on the poem “Carta de Creencia“ of the Mexican Nobel Prize winner Octavia Paz (1914 - 1918). In the three-part series of the free verse Paz looks for the essence of love to understand pure togetherness from afar.
Inspired by the meditative flow of his words, Magdalena Reiter und Milan Tomášik embark on a relationship that, with the help of a precise vocabulary of movement, brings the separated and the merging to the surface. As with Octavia Paz, time and space seem to explode.
