What is freedom? That is what the contemporary Flamenco Dancer Ana Pandur and the musician and poet Damir Avdić ask in „Firebird“. In the roar of the riff-accentuated beats of Avdić Pandur develops a dynamic dance vocabulary of stamping, turning, falling and rearing up. In her moves both the rebellion of the Spanish flamenco and the uprising of the punk movement resonate like a firebird that symbolises death and rebirth. Before the eyes of the public a hybrid emerges out of contemporary flamenco dance and a brash rock concert: lyrical, mesmerizing, intense.
